Happy New Year!

Assassins-Creed-4-Black-Flag1[1]I spent my last night of 2013 completing the amazing game that is Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag. It was only 2 days ago where I felt the end nearing and just as I started to feel more like I was in the middle of the story it ended. I won’t say I wasn’t disappointed by that. I was looking forward to more adventures of Edward Kenway following the Assassin’s Creed, but it ended the way it did. I do hope for a direct sequel to see where the character ends up but if there’s a book or something else instead I will have to pick it up. It was an excellent game and very worth playing through.
Now for a look back on 2013. On 1/12/13 I announced that I was going to play through my entire collection of uncompleted free PS+ games as well as other uncompleted games I purchased. I fell extremely short on this and in fact gave up completely. A really long game (Darksiders) slowed me down and ultimately life events got in the way of this task as well as keeping up on this blog. I did get time to play through a few great games and I think the majority of my game time was filled by the Assassin’s Creed series. Here’s a list of what I know I completed but I think I’m missing a couple:

  • Bioshock 2
  • Quantum Conundrum
  • Shank 2
  • Darksiders
  • Assassin’s Creed
  • Assassin’s Creed 3
  • Far Cry 3
  • Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag

As you can see I’ve played quite a few Ubisoft games this past year. I’m starting to notice a few mechanics they repeat throughout the games but the stories are amazing. I am very much looking forward to Watchdogs. That about wraps up the end of the year post. Now it’s time for me to go clean the garage… because that’s fun /sarcasm.
